— The Story —

It all began with a single game.

It all began when I was in elementary school.

I saw my father playing a game on the family PC: “Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer.”

Swords, magic, races I had never seen before, and spells that pulled me in — beyond the screen was a fantasy world I had never known. As a child, I was completely captivated. It seared itself into me.

While everyone around me was absorbed in Mario and Pokémon, I was wandering through an ancient world of swords and sorcery.

In Japan, I was probably a slightly unusual child.

Eventually, I became obsessed with THE LORD OF THE RINGS.

Middle-earth was not just a setting. Elves, dwarves, ents — each race had its own history, its own culture, and even its own language.

I was stunned when I learned that Tolkien had built the Elvish languages from their grammar upward, and then created a world for those languages to live in.

That devotion to making an imagined world feel real. That uncompromising density of detail. I was completely overwhelmed by it.

And even after decades, that fire never went out.

That is why I came to collect MTG cards not simply as tools for play, but as worlds sealed within a card.

The story held in a single piece. The weight of the artwork. The texture of legend.

But one day, I realized something.

I had never truly been able to “enter” the worlds of the cards I had sought and treasured.

They slept inside binders, stood casually in glass cases, or rested on inexpensive stands — but none of those places felt worthy of the card before me.

I searched.

But I could not find such a place anywhere in the world.

So I made one.

Solid black walnut, carved with ancient-inspired motifs, and a quiet amber light to illuminate a single card.

ARCANIA was born to bring back, before my eyes, the worlds I once longed for.

Your card, too, has a place where it belongs.
